I have had this product for just about 9 months, and on 5 separate occasions now it has failed to do the one thing I bought it for. The battery works great, if it simply gets unplugged from the wall, but does not turn on if the power is surged by a storm. Not the quality of product I want.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Roger from Mr. I'm using this unit to protect my DVR and receiver because a even a momentary interruption in the power will cause the receiver to reboot which I find a real pain. I purchased this unit because I had an old APC unit in the same place but it finally gave up. I don't know how old the old unit was but I would guess about 20 years old. I've always used APC products when I could get them. I have a different APC backup on my computer.

I received this APC backUPS a few weeks ago and had my computer plugged into it. A storm hit just last week and we lost power for a whole week! I plugged my phone into the UPS as well as my computer and I was able to get news updates from our governor about shelters and when it was safe to go outside.
